The North West’s hottest Pro/Am Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) event, Full Contact Contender (FCC), is proud to confirm the addition of a 170lb European title fight to its June 20th card, as Matt Inman returns to the FCC cage for the second time this year to face European standout and fellow CWFC veteran Vincent Del Guerra.
Inman (14-7), who is currently in Las Vegas training with the extended SBG family, is a noted kickboxer with an active and dangerous guard game. The SBG Mainline fighter put the latter to good use in March, scoring a third round submission victory over Aymard Guih at FCC 12.
Vincent Del Guerra (22-13) is one of France’s most notable MMA veterans, having complied a 35-fight ledger in just six years as a professional. Known for his ‘kill or be kill’ approach in the cage, the MK Legion fighter has been the distance just six times, while knocking out or submitting 19 of his opponents.
Promoter Adam Teh said, “I’m excited to welcome Matt Inman back to the FCC cage, once again giving our fans a stacked double-header. He showed incredible patience and composure last time out, and is fully deserving of an FCC title opportunity. One man not known for patience is Vincent Del Guerra; the Frenchman will be looking to avenge his countryman’s defeat at FCC 12. In 56 combined professional fights this pair have only gone the distance eight times…I’m giving our judges a coffee break for this one!”
The promotion also revealed a trio of amateur title fights highlighting the Unified Amateur portion of their June 20th event.
Fan favourite Chris Senior returns to defend his welterweight strap against Mark Kinsella, who won the opportunity with a consummate victory at FCC 12 and looks to remain unbeaten as an amateur. Graham Mealand of MMA Academy Liverpool faces 8-0 Igor Puskarskis of HAMMA/Team Elite for 185lb gold and undefeated prospects collide as Kyle Keane of KC Fight Base and Tim Barnett of MMA Academy contest the vacant 155lbs title.
In a pair of #1 contender bouts, FCC favourite Mitchell ‘Maximus’ Richards returns to face SBG Ireland’s Ben Forth at middleweight, while FCPC’s Antonio Sheldon takes on 12 Gauge’s Liam Dooley at lightweight.
Adam Teh said, “Our pro cards may be garnering the lions’ share of the headlines, but FCC is as committed as ever to showcasing the best amateur talent we can find. Our amateur title line up at FCC 13 is as good as it gets, and our two #1 contender bouts are going to throw up serious challenges for the winners at light and middleweight. There’s plenty of new and familiar faces on the undercard too…I’m expecting a few of them to be challenging for FCC gold by this time next year.”
FCC 13 will feature 20 bouts in total, and is headlined by Paddy ‘The Baddy’ Pimblett defending his professional 145lb European title against Miguel ‘Santa Muerte’ Haro.
